Shipping coverage
MaaPura GramaShoppe ships pan-India. We use a mix of India Post, India Speed Post and private courier partners (Delhivery, Blue Dart, DTDC, Xpressbees, Shadowfax) depending on the pin-code of the buyer and the dispatch location of the artisan's village.
A small number of remote pin codes (some islands, certain hill stations and forward posts) may be marked as "limited delivery" — in those cases the courier partner will contact you for additional handling instructions, and the timeline shown below may extend by 3–5 working days.
Shipping cost
- Orders ≥ ₹2,000 — shipping is free within India.
- Orders < ₹2,000 — a flat shipping fee of ₹99 applies, regardless of weight or destination within India.
- GST — 5% GST is applied to the order subtotal (excluding shipping) where applicable.
- Cash on Delivery — not currently supported on GramaShoppe; all orders are prepaid through Razorpay.
The shipping fee and GST are clearly displayed at checkout before you confirm payment.
Delivery timeline
Delivery time is split into two stages:
- Artisan dispatch lead time — each artisan declares a dispatch lead time at the time of listing (typically 1 – 4 working days). For made-to-order items, the lead time can extend to 7 – 14 working days; this is shown on the product page.
- Courier transit time:
- Metros and Tier-1 cities — 3 – 5 working days from dispatch;
- Tier-2 and Tier-3 towns — 5 – 7 working days from dispatch;
- North-East, Andaman & Nicobar, Lakshadweep, hill stations — 10 – 14 working days from dispatch.
The expected delivery window for your specific order is shown on the order confirmation page and in the confirmation email.
Order tracking
As soon as the artisan hands the package to the courier partner, the AWB / tracking number is captured against your order. You will receive an email and an in-app notification containing the tracking link. You can also track the order at any time from Shop → Orders.
International shipping
MaaPura GramaShoppe does not currently offer international shipping. If you are an NRV (non-resident villager) and would like to receive products outside India, please contact orders@maapura.org— we can arrange shipment to an Indian address of your choice (a friend or family member), but the platform does not yet ship internationally.
Damaged or lost in transit
If your order arrives damaged or significantly different from the description:
- Open the order from Shop → Orders and use the "Report damage" action within 48 hours of delivery.
- Attach 3 – 4 clear photographs of the damaged product and (where possible) of the outer packaging.
- Do not discard the original packaging until your claim is resolved — the courier partner may inspect it.
- We will arrange a free reverse pickup. Once the artisan confirms the damage, you will be offered a free replacement (same product) or a full refund (your choice).
If the courier partner declares the package lost in transit, we will issue a full refund (product + shipping + GST) within 10 working days, or — at your choice — re-dispatch the order at no additional cost.
Address changes
You can change the shipping address only before the artisan dispatches the package. Once an AWB / tracking number has been assigned, the package cannot be re-routed.
To change the address before dispatch, open the order from Shop → Orders and use the "Edit shipping address" action, or email orders@maapura.orgwith the order ID. If dispatch has already taken place, you may cancel + re-order to the new address — refer to the Cancellation Policy.
